	Hey / hello / hi!&#38;nbsp;I’m a born-and-bred Londoner who now lives in Vancouver, Canada.&#38;nbsp; Beaches and mountains aside, there’s actually a lot of overlap – something I’m chalking up to the ‘British’ in British Columbia (including the distinctly UK-esque rain).


I’ve learned my craft from working at London’s top creative agencies, including Meta Creative X, The Writer, FCB London, Ogilvy and Google Zoo. Places I’ve freelanced at include Dishoom, On and Rethink Vancouver.

My words have appeared all over – in tube stations, on TVs, over the airwaves, in magazines, on books, the sides of packaging and across the furthest ends of the internet. It still never gets old seeing them out in the wild.

My non-work life revolves around books, films, music, travel and food – both eating it and cooking it. I’m also sometimes found reading my own poems at open mics.

	While Telus can’t prevent threats, their impressive range of security protections can give Canadians some much-needed peace of mind if the worst happens. So they can stress less, and get back to watering their plants while spying on next door.

	A Drop Of Greatness

	Greenall’s are England’s oldest gin distillers, with a London Dry Gin recipe that hasn’t changed since the 1700s. (It’s top-secret, as you’d expect.)&#38;nbsp;

They wanted an explainy-but-engaging content series that would explain their heritage and craft – with a generous glug of humour added in for good measure.&#38;nbsp;


	If anyone knows how to do explainy-but-funny, it’s Wes Anderson. So I drew on his distinctive storytelling style to script three quirky, meta-fictional content films, styled as different ‘chapters’ of a bigger Greenall’s story. Each one featured real staff in their distillery, with gin-related exposition delivered by by a perfectly deadpan, northern narrator. Nice one, lad.

	Due to popular demand, A&#38;amp;W decided to reinstate their wild-caught cod burger for a summer throwback. For a throwback of our own, we perched Allen in a lifeguard chair – nodding to a popular 80s show.&#38;nbsp;


	 
We also gave him a megaphone to announce the limited-edition news to hungry beachgoers far and wide. No iconic red swimsuits were used in the making of this commercial.

Teenagers love scrolling, swiping and sharing on social media – sometimes, too much.&#38;nbsp;To educate and reassure parents of Instagram-loving teens, we created a compact ‘family’ of ads: each one highlighting key Family Tools, which adults can use to keep their kids safe and supported on the app.

	Making these spots was a true team effort. I pitched in to write film and radio scripts alongside another Creative X EMEA team. 
We developed the look and feel with creatives from SS+K New York, and finally shot them on location in London with an international team of producers, creatives, talent and DOPs.

	No Less Loved

	
As people prepared to return to the office after the Covid-19 lockdown, many 'pandemic pets' were at very real risk of being sold online or handed off to family and friends. To avert crisis, Battersea needed to let pet owners know that if their circumstances changed, they would be there to care for and re-home their beloved dog or cat. 


	Brits are well-known for loving their pets as much as (and sometimes more than) a human family member. We used this insight toreframe the act of giving a pet to Battersea as the ultimate act of care - helping to ease their guilt and lessen the stigma of giving up their family pet.
